928 office chair?
After moving into a new house, I recently had the pleasure of restoring an old oak desk circa 1948 for my new office. I can't seem to find any suitable chairs that fit the style of the desk/room [lots of motorsports photos I've taken over the years]. I was wondering if anyone has built an office chair out of a used 928 seat? I can fabricate a simple floating frame out of angle iron and purchase the necessary bits such as the gas shock, wheels, adjusters, etc.
Thoughts? Pointers?

Mark has one in his office at 928 Intl. too, but it's not nearly as nice as the one Paul did.

Ouch
Mine actually started as a brand new seat from Porsche on a blow out.

Recaro used to sell office chairs during the time when 928's were in production.
If you can find a worn out one in eBay the base may just bolt right up to a 928 seat.

...well, that would have been easier, but not nearly as much fun.

I've actually never tried that switch since it's indoors, but it probably is. The switch between the 2nd & 3rd round switches is for the heat.
