Very nice. I assume you will have 18" or larger wheels, right? What modifications to the rotor/hub etc. were necessary?

Thanks,

Gary--

looks like hub rings are needed? could that rotor combo be used on the early spindles with big blacks?

Looking at your pictures, I am using Cayenne 330's, but wondering if I could use 350's...

What kind of bracket/adapter was needed to use the 350mm Cayenne Rotors in lieu of the standard GTS front rotors? I realize ( thanks Ed!) that you are using S4 spindles, so a regular GTS rotor would fit directly.
I am under the assumption that you would have to move the caliper away from the hub radially to allow for the larger rotor diameter. Did you also have to adjust it left or right ( in out?) to allow for any difference in offset of the GTS vs Cayenne rotors?

And if someone is making brackets why not go for 380mm Cayenne Rotors? I have room in my wheels. Are the pads on the rotor fully with the 350mm ones?

Are the pads going to make full contact with the rotors? The calipers appear to be riding high on the rotors.

Hi all

Firstly sorry for the delay... my father in law has Parkinsons and had a bad fall on Thursday.

Any how to answer some questions:

Here is a picture of the adaptors i made for this, sorry i was spraying them with primer at the time.

If anybody wants closer pictures i will take them.

The round 'flange' has the concentric ring machined on it on the other side.

iIn my opinion you cant use the 380mm discs with the GTS callipers because the radius of the inside of the calliper would push the pad too far up the disc.

Nope, not an issue.
The point of this upgrade is to leverage the caliper further out which makes it a longer lever, increasing braking power.

Ouch, how is he doing? No worries, some things are far more important than our 928's.

Looks nice!!

Any chance you could be working with one of our vendors to offer these to the collective? A few people have produced similar adapters for themselves, I don't think anyone has taken the plunge to offer them up.

Hi Hacker

Thanks for the concern..... yes not too bad, think a round with Iron Mike!

FBIII On assembly the top of the pads are approx 2mm above the disc o/d (rotor) i solved this by machining 2.5mm off the bottom of the pads where they rest in the calliper.

TBH i can talk with Roger about this if theres enough interest but its not quite as clear cut, and as were about half again as expensive as you+ shipping, i would have to do some numbers.

Geoff
