Thank you all for your great comments...!!!

This is a super place to share experiences and opinions, and get information.. I will try to add some value as well, in stead of just leeching information.

This story is far from over and I will continue soon, just need to get out my camera and make more pictures.. they say so much more
I will strip it down further again... the insulation needs rework.. also because I am looking to upgrade the audio quality...

The main thing I've been waiting for to get to a new start was the return of all my body parts....

And yes......they're back now!!

So when I returned from all the holiday dinner parties, I finally got going...

First thing, remove all that is still in the car, and does not belong there anymore.... before I knew it, the floor was once again filled with parts

Also, time to get out the vacuum cleaner, all the sanding dust is horrible

First problem to tackle, fix the HVAC!!! it is stuck in hot and now that I have access to everything, I can easily check all the wires and functionality...
The repair manual is a big help, turns out the system is wel documented!!
But the problem is easy, I've read about it in a thread here as well... a bad contact in the external temp sensor increases the resistance to infinate, making the HVAC believe it is about -40 C inside....hence, heating to full..

A quick fix, really, but in the meantime all vacuum hoses and actuators have been checked as well...

Since that was all I needed to do at this level, in come the new parts!!

Hi Ralph,

It would be my pleasure!! The 928 herd is pretty thin in our parts...
I am certain we can arrange a meet!
For reference, I am planning to attend the Porsche scene live gathering in Best (NL) 4th of May.
Hope to see you there if not before!!

Grtz
Stefan

It's been a busy winter, with loads of fun and much less fun challenges. Had to say goodbye to a loved one...never easy but she had a superb life right up till the end, when you think about it, one can only be jealous.

Anyway... loads of excuses to explain why I haven't reached any of the deadlines that I set for myself....but last weekend.....things got rollin again...
Green light from the mrs, a friend to help out on the heavy lifting, and bam... looking more like a car now.

This is the current stance.

All the electrics are operational, just the sunroof gets a significant voltage drop when under load. Anyone has experience with the most likely resistance point? I cannot seem to locate it. Every check I do results in less than 1 Ohm. The only thing left would be changing the wiring, and I would rather not if I have a choice.
