More to the point - was the 924 a real 924 Carrera GT? If so, that'd be the car to buy

I know nothing about 924's but I did buy a 944 turbo cab with an LV interior

That's actually a pretty hilarious set of auctions. It seems like a warehouse that was preserved in a time capsule. The only things from the 21st century are the Obama picture, the flatscreen and the BBQ. Everything else looks like it could be the scene from a Miami Vice show where the perps hide drugs in all manner of Porsches.

I can see Tubbs and Crockett breaking through the doors now with their guns drawn...

Funny thing, They couldn't get $5 for it so they added it to the next item. Basically forcing someone to take Obama. Hmmm

I also bought my 928 pick up back but far from the condition I sold it in. Not sure what ill do with it. One guy must have bought at least 6 unusual 928's claiming he was in the film industry. One of the more interesting things at the auction was the train collection. The auction company did not do their job in my opinion as the 2 highest bidders we not train people and had no intention of bidding on a train that day. I'll post some interesting pics when I return to my office.

LOL! Couldn't agree more!

Was that light blue Cab for sale??? Not a fan of the color but I really like the car (though it could be in terrible shape as the pics were from a long way away)... JUST SAW THIS was the $10.5k car! If it were an even half way decent running car in decent shape I would have JUMPED on that at $10.5k! OMG!

How did his Lionel train set do at the auction...I would have LOVED to have had that as well! I didn't read down far enough...I would have LOVED to have bid on that train set, I bet those guys stole some VERY VALUABLE Lionel gear... Hell ZW transformers (and I bet he had a few) are worth $300+ each and some of the BIG Trainmaster engines are well over $1k in value (not sure he had either of those, but I can't imagine he didn't!)!

I am no model train expert, but even the little I know told me there was $100k+ of value there. Purchased for around $4,600, guy wasn't even a train guy and new an opportunity when he saw it.
