Default Matt-Black "Lobster Claws" on all Black Car

I would like to here your opinions on putting 19" matt-black "lobster claws" on an all black car (1991 S4). The rims are all black and do not have a polished lip. Is this just too much black? Looked at some pictures but have never seen one in person.

Also, my fenders are already rolled. No lip at all on the entire top section. Should this give me enough clearence?

295/30/19 Rear

Have you checked backspacing/offset specs?

A search for wheels and offset should get you to a few threads with the parameters..

I have this size on my 1990 S4 and they are factory rolled. Should fit but you'll need to check your offsets. I had to put a 15mm spacer IIRC on the rear. 928 motorsports had them in stock.

Use andrew's offset calculator.

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BzC7...kH&hl=en&pli=1

Once you open it in google docs, goto file and download it.

Jeff, do you get any rubbing over bumps? Is your speedo really off? I looked at a few other threads and it appears that the speedo would be off about 3mph at 60. I can live with that. Can you use closed lugs?

To me, those are one of the ugliestnrims Porsche evet made. I guess painting them black will hide the design more and make them look a little better.

I think black wheels look like you lost your hub caps. Do what YOU like!

Thanks. I actually prefer them in silver but could get a great deal on a black set. I took the car for a short spin today through some of the local NJ roads and am getting second thoughts due to the potholes. My old car had 40 series tires out back (Mustang 285/40/17) and I never had a problem. Any real world driving impressions with 30 series?

I passed on the matt black wheels but have a chance to buy some silver ones now. The rears on these have an et of 51. My understanding of offsets is very basic but I believe I can use these without a spacer (as opposed to the et68 backs) and end up with the same tire placement within the fender. Is this correct? If this setups works, will the studs stick out too much. Thanks for your help and if I'm totally off base please correct me.
