Default Cam Cover paint question

Cam covers and intakes have been blasted and washed. I'm getting ready to prime and paint them. Should I paint the engine side of the cam covers or leave them bare?

most leave them bare,
why not consider powder coating these parts,
Note out side only

Paint the covers to match the intake.

Keep it close to the factory original colour!

Like the new AVATAR Adam!

on topic...paint is fine as long as you have good prep. Power coat is the way to go though and will hide imperfections in he castings better

So will plain old VHT wrinkle paint. Bake it properly and it's as durable as PC.

media blast, washed, wiped down with acetone, self etching primer and high temp engine paint. Finished off with an hour bake. We'll see if it holds up.

The parts do look very good, thanks for posting pictures.

If you have media blasted the intake parts you must wash them atleast 3 times with hot water and simple green or some other kind of grease cutting liquid ,
then blow dry with compressed air,
too many complaints of failed engines due to media materials being ingested.

Thanks Stan, Had them media blasted with plastic bead. Then washed with Purple Power in a tub with hot water. I used a toilet brush to scrub the insides. Then used the hose to spray them out real good. I would have blown them out with air but a compressor is the one thing I don't have
