Who to get a windshield from?

They are really not hard to install yourself if you can get one for a good price. I replaced mine when I had my 81'. The wors part of the job was getting all the old sealant off of the windshield opening prior to installing the new unit. I ended up using the Chinese glass. It was inexpensive and was good enough for me at that time.

A couple years ago my 87S4 was teeboned resulting in a crack in the windshield. The insurance covered it but here's the kicker; the glass outfit imported it from England (claimed they could not find the glass in USA). Cost the insurance outfit $1000.

Duc, Apparently there is a guy parting out a 78 in the Columbus area... I'll bet no one is taking the glass. Ask the original poster for some contact info for the seller. Worth a shot before he takes it to a scrap yard.
