Intro - First Time Post
Long time lurker, first time poster. As a bit of history, I fell in the love with the 928 after Risky Business & Weird Science. After landing my first job out of college (1994) it was to be my first purchase. However, the practical side of me took over and realized I could not afford the maint and wisconsin winters can be tough . Bought a 3000GT SL to tide me over. Great car, but the 928 fever was still there. Fast forward 12 years after having been through a Lexus SC300 and now my current 911 Cabrio (996 Tip) the fever is as strong as ever.
The search goes on and my only requirements are red and 5 speed - a tall order i know.
The main reason for my post is a 95 silver auto GTS which just came on the lot at Bergstrom auto in Appleton WI. Not priced and not cleaned up, but I literally just came back from looking at it. Looks to be in great condition. If anyone is seriously interested email me off line, I would be happy to perform some due diligence. The Porsche/Jag/BMW/Land Rover/Mercedes/lexus/Audi & Infiniti dealerships are 5 minustes from my house. So yeah, I drive by there just about every sunday to see if they have anything nice. I will probably drive it anyways even though it is not the color/transmission I seek. Can't pass up a GTS drive!

Welcome Jim!
I was looking for anything BUT red, but definitely wanted a 5-speed. I ended up with a Guards Red 84 5-speed
You should consider making an exception if you find one in good shape that doesn't match your criteria 100%. You don't want to prolong waiting to get into a 928.

Not really a tall order at all if you're willing to pay.
Or, if that one is too expensive, you could buy mine for alot less. It's the one in my avatar. Make me an offer.
Cheers and good luck in your search.

77 actually, but it would be GREAT to know the VIN and get a few pics. Perhaps the 928 Registry will land somewhere soon such that it can be updated with new info on this car.
Always nice to keep track of the GTS's! At least there are only 406 US versions of those and fewer if you consider those that have been parted out.
Jim, you are welcome to email me any info you can get on that GTS.

Welcome, sir.
A Member on your first post, very impressive - thanks for your support of Rennlist!
You have a large 928 group in WI that is very helpful and knowledgeable - I'm sure you will hear from a few here.
