Default Mobil 1 - $4.99/qt. at Walmart - and how to find it

For those of us rebels who knowingly continue to use Mobil 1 15-50 in our 928's, I think I found a way to help find which Walmarts sell it or keep it in stock.

I too have been frustrated by the hit and miss stocking of Mobil 1 15-50 at Walmart, but may have stumbled on something the other night. Was searching the Walmart.com site for fun(?) and looked at their automotive/oil section and found Mobil 1 15-50. I found you can check your local Walmart store for availability when you put in your zipcode and check the nearest stores. While the closest Walmart to my house didn't stock it, there was one only a few miles further away that did.

Priced at $24.97 for a 5 quart jug (roughly $4.99/qt.), it's tough to beat for a high quality oil that lots of us use and is a great oil for our 928's... well at least for most of us...

That's how I check for availability. Being in N. Texas and having 3 Walmarts in 5 miles sorta helps.

Rick,
Agreed; two Wal-Marts within 5 miles, one has the M1 5 QT container, the other has never stocked it at all!

If it is a 5 gallon jug, the cost is less than $1.24/qt. Sign me up!

DOH!!! Thanks Jim and Dan, there I go, mixing up jugs again... that would be a 5 quart jug, not 5 gallon. Boy, would that be a smokin' deal!
