Battery stays put. The point is to transfer the weight ratio to the rear. A Complete LS and C5-6 trans swap with AC delete should put the beast at 45-55% distro. Doesn't matter, I just want my 2.73 diff installed on a manual t56 box. With Dinsdale's 3pc. transmember design, the drivetrain can be shifted aft/fro for whatever engine it's mated to. The axles are chromoly 4340 and larger dia. than the factory ones and will handle whatever is dropped in the bay.

So, who's doing the first LS7 swap? Does the T6066 fit also?

All of the LS motors have the same exterior dimensions be it an LS3, LS7, etc. The Tremec T6060 (not 6066) succeded the Tremec T56 in 2008 for the Corvettes, but were also used in Vipers, Aston Martins, Ford Cobra's, Camaro's etc. Reason I chose the T 56 is they are more readily available, and a bit less expensive. The plan is to install the Piranha Bros conversion kit following 3rd Coast. T

The TR-6060 will fit as well. The LS engines that use a dual disc from factory have a bellhousing that is 0.75" taller and can swap right in with a 0.75" slot at the Transmember.

Trackin' the LS size, but I had thought the T6060 (typo) was slightly larger for some reason? I guess it's not really needed. An RPM Lvl. V will handle anything you can throw at it!

Tony, you picked up an M12 out of a Z didn't you? I want a ride when this thing is done! I'll have to make a trip home for some event sooner or later!

Just did the first test drive. Everything went well. Cruising speed 70 mph = 1475 rpm. Chew on that Boys!

How MUCH larger is the Z06 auto tranny that it would be a hard fit into a 928?

Entirely not interested in a manual swap..but would throw money at the auto effort.

No automatic Z06's that I know of. The standard Corvette is the only one offered with an automatic.
