See my signature - not a rare car in Europe, although 5 speeds are much less common than autos. 90% were sold as auto.

There were 422 16V ROW LHD 5sp vs 680 16V ROW LHD automatic and 66 16V ROW RHD 5sp vs 324 16V ROW RHD automatic made in '86 MY. Ratio is not that bad.

Does explain Roger's preference for autos if only 66 RHD out of 384 were 5 spds. Must be something about shifting with the left hand that is abnormal

This car is back on CL with a pic of the motor. Clearly a 16v twin dizzy. Question is if it is really an '86? Although I think we had confirmed that with the jack points from the previous ad pics.

86-87 were the only years where pearl white was offered. If factory paint, it's pretty rare. Might be an interesting history behind this car.

Is this a 5 speed?

Needs more than brakes - a new hood liner, for example...

If I recall from the first time listed, it is an automatic.

I know this car. It is owned by an eldery man...really great guy. Not sure if it has changed hands now though since i I saw him last (years ago). Passionate about it and 928s. It was at Sharktoberfest a few years back and we all drove out together.

It originally came from the middle east if i recall. ..hence rear AC and that red interior.

Stephen is his name (on the right)....not sure who that RRRRRRRrrrreeealy old fart is on the left though?

Stephen really enjoyed sharktoberfest. he was quiet old at the time, i hope nothing has happend to him, he!! of a nice man.

edit...jackpot. Found them. I remembered he came to the Porsche event where we parked all our cars under the Fremont Street canopy.

Its is an auto...and it has Rear AC..and sport seat on the driver side.
