I like them because they are stock and easy to clean plus mine are not silver, they are kinda gold color, is there a name?

Design department?
They are awesome?
They don't like the changes just like the body?
I think it's because they were forged out of awesmoe sauce. I'm keeping my cromed 16s even if they aren't always on the car.

I think chromed manhole covers look great on the right car! Couldn't tell you why they lasted so many years, but there isn't a thing wrong with them.

The D90'a are cast. It is the Club Sports that are forged, like the Flat Dish (manholes). The Club Sports have the same face design as the Flat Dish, with the addition of the larger triangular openings (notice the lip design and the small "grooves" around the outer portion of the openings).

Good pics and specs can be found on the Wheel Enhancement website.

They look great on your car! I have a set that are in pretty good shape sitting in my warehouse. Looking at yours I am now considering getting them chromed and slapping them on the car every now and again.

I know they were never original from the factory chromed and they do tend to leak air a little as they sit, but I couldn't be happier with mine.

I personally think all 928s look great with them....Maybe not a GTS though.
