Default A little "for sale" humor

Love the description of the EBAY ad...."Owned by my wealthy uncle owner","Just needs a slight tune up", "origanal owner". Is this a play on words meaning he was the original owner and he was very **** about the incredible care he took of the car.

Also, another example of a very rare car with stellar presentation and a deal of a price.

That's just......
The first one (EBay) looks bad enough, but the second is post-apocolyptic in grandeur.....
Hold me back please........

The first car looks like it was stored underwater.

Those have to be jokes. WTF?

Gives me an idea. I know where there are a couple of ones sitting around in similar condition. I think I'll get some pictures and start an ad to amuse myself.

That first car has been sitting in that spot for more than a decade.

I saw an average '79 listed a few days ago for 19995.00. Almost sent him a note to tell him he was nuts. Saw it again a couple days later and decided to send him a note tactfully suggesting that he had an extra 9 in the price. Believe it or not, he removed one and emailed me back to thank me! Sometimes they aren't crazy, just fat fingered.

I like the engine compartment pine needles. The cowl looks almost covered in hay.

Lots of cars for sale are offered with a "just needs xxx". If it was that easy, seller should do xxx and sell the running car with everything, including all the xxx tasks, working and done. Problem is that xxx, that seller assures us will only cost $, actually costs $$$, plus there were $$$$$ in WYAIT tasks and casual damage to take care of.

Cars that have been parked that long and not "stored" were parked for a reason, proibably a $$$ reason when the owner only felt like spending $. That $ memory sticks while the problem is still at least $$$ and oftem blossoms to $$$$$ in the years since. Plus the cosmetic damage is now $$$ on top of that. And we wonder why there are no bids or offers on these cars.

It also confirms that those of us who maintain the cars impeccably will still be comapred with the $ POS cars that "only need $" to make them the same as mine. We are doomed to 928 ownership forever unless we are willing to sell in thatcompetitive $$ market!

There has been an '84 that's been listed on CL from Omaha for 3+ years. They want more than 10K for it, and it's always going to sell any minute. I replied to the ad suggesting that they might be asking too much, and here's what I got.

"My Dick in ur mouth?

How long was the second owner sick for? Did they puke on the car while they were neglecting it?

The first one looks like it rose from the lagoon. I feel so sorry for those Porsches I literally want to sleep in mine tonight to show her how much I love her so.
