Default Selling my beautifull 1986.5

It is time for me to sell my 1986.5 928S. I have owned it for 12 years. It has been a great hobby. Over the years everybody from Rennlist have been great to know and helped my to no end in caring for this car.
This is a very nice example of the 86.5. Meticulously maintained with all the documentation since new. Yes the Timming belt and water pump are current as is everything on this car. It has always been garage stored. Many of you know this car and it needs to stay in good hands.

Here is the web address for the Craigslist ad if anyone is interested.

Thanks for all of your help and happy motoring
Ray

Default This car is perfect!

Ray,
Sorry to see you are selling your car but I know you've gotten a lot of enjoyment out of it.
Anyone looking for an outstanding 100% original condition car (think Concours worthy) which has been meticulously maintained by the owner and the top local 928 mechanic would do well with this car.

Good luck with the sale!
Brian

Beautiful. Makes me warm and fuzzy inside to see an S3 asking 5 figures. GLWS!

There's Fleming's in Balt area asking $22K for an 85....An 86 in PA was recently listed for $14K...there's that blue on in New England for $21K...of course it hasn't sold in six months or more...

They're out there-- the odometers often resemble the asking price!

Congrats on the nice place to settle, and the past ownership of that 928, looks beautiful-- no rub strips and that special order paint* is gleeming.

I don't think meteor metallic was a special order, but it does look nice in that shot, I wonder if Ray would post a Hi-Res version of that pic for us.

Here you go: Not the best as I had my crappy camera with me that day

I took this picture as we were leaving the Porsche's on the Pier in Port Angeles show this summer. Little did I know Ray would use it to sell his car; shouldn't I get a cut or something?
The car does have rub strips. The original wheel finish is perfect; best I've ever seen. If it was a 5speed I would have to have it.

Any well sorted 86.5 is well worth five figures up into the higher teens with low mileage. If you buy one that needs work for less than $10K you'll be up to the mid-teens in no time just in deferred maintenance alone. Got mine with 41K on the clock, beaurtiful blk/champ leather interior, 5 ft paint job & $4K worth of wheels for $11,300. Its been hit and repaired (cosmetic only) but that brings the price way down. If not, it would have been a MUCH higher priced vehicle. If I had the cash I would have already BOUGHT this one... the drive back from Gig Harbor to Ohio would be fantastic!!

Thanks Doug,
That made me laugh. I think I'll delete that. I am sure you know what I was trying to say, but if you didn't send me a PM and I'll "splain it to yo lucy" LOL

By the way you don't want to eat what I eat.

Thanks again Doug

Thanks Brian,
You would have gotten a cut if you hadn't used your crapy camera. It's still the best picture I have and you will receive everything you deserve.

Yes Thanks Brian, great shot. That paint is terrific and I did notice the wheels on the smaller shot, factory like, intentionally dull but even finish that shows the shimmer of the red car nearby. Very nice car for someone to acquire.

Meteor Metallic is one of the best colors for the 928.

I have to say.. I've seen this car in person and it's one of the cleanest (inside and out) 86.5ers that I have seen... Good luck with the sale Ray..

Worth every penny. Anyone lurking here looking for a well sorted car, this is an excellent example. Current maintenance and documented history. Enthusiast owned. This = great pedigree.
