I think this thread is perfect!!!! I have gotten amazing help here. Mostly after hours of searching, but i have found my answers but still ask the questions at times. Mainly, cause i enjoy the commonality of purpose. We have or want to have amazing cars from the past that are still relevant today.
That being said, i have found myself shaking my head at times when reading the biting remarks of some in response to a question from a newbie, or a technically challenged owner.
We were all there once! So, i suggest that if the only way to get your kix is to slam someone that asks a question, then you probably are persona non Grata in other real life social situations. So, when we read those arrogant replies we should all just assume that the individual is generally an unhappy person and that we will tolerate it because we see value in everyone...
Now as far as this discussion on politics...bring it on, this country needs to hear about the dangerous course this country is on in every forum there is...

Please VOTE!!!!!!. And before we make assumptions...PLEASE read about the Character of Romney...An amazing man who truly is not comfortable talking about his own accolades. Truly one of the great men of our time...

So, what type of oil do i use in my 87 S4?

Always found 928 owners to be some of the best people around, even when they are having a little fun Just glad to be here after all these years and to have access to the talent and innovation on this forum.

Car comes back from the shop on Wednesday after a couple of years in mothballs.

Can't wait to drive it again!

OK people, I've had my political say. I'll shut up after this but know that if you vote for obooba, you are diametricaly opposed to most thinking people, political wise.

Sh$t!!! Now we have to define "thinking people"?

Next thing you know, we'll have to define educated vs. indoctrinated.

He did define it.

Anyone "not him".

When someone puts "every one else" in a bucket, they've already lost.

Whats the best blinker fluid for my 928?

Charlie: Those headers siiiiiiiiiiiiiing on a supercharger.

Personally, I like 928's, driving, and wrenching. Oh, and beer

I also don't like a whole bunch of stuff, but in the context of 928's its just not relevant

amazing conversation .. i thought it was just me that feels so disolutioned.
i am a late boomer 1963 .in my life i grew up in a typical ibm upbringing and learned if you
work hard the company will take care of you in return and if you followed the rules walked a straight line
,paid your bills all would work out fine.
well it sure the hell has not worked out that way.
i have seen 2 presidents shot at , 2 space ships fall from the skies ,3 wars that were fought by my generation, a complete economic collapse , a election scandal in 2000 , a attack on american soil .
i have seen 10's of thousands of american workers (my customers) lose there jobs to chinese manipluation of currency in just 5 years. in the mess the banks created in 2008 seems to have gone unpunished as not one person is in jail but boy am i paying for it everyday. gm went bankrupt yet they still have my money to spend on advertising every 10 minutes on tv.
the reality is i will work unitl i die and that is fact. someone is going to have to pay for this mess!
due to my wifes medical conditions one day i will file banckruptcy when i can no longer pay the 1,800 dollars a month for heath insurance . which is cheaper then just her pills alone a month.
i have survived all of this in tact but my mind set has changed and i really am afraid to spend money on anything anymore alot like the frugality of the depression babies. it is the fear that it could happen again.

at least i can take the old 928 out for a pleasurable romp when it all gets a little silly and i always return with a big *** smile on my face .

Hang in there Tom. It's the everyday stuff that makes a life. Not some glimmering goal out in the future.

That's why God invented the 928, so that a smile is always just a ride away.
