The same visc Porsche recommended long, long ago, 15w-40

4.3cP, there's your "film strength", lol.

If your car can't run on that, fill it with STP and sell it.

Compared to Kibort you are a breath of fresh air somewhat inflated sense of self but still rather normal as an opinionated troll like poster more concerned with confrontation than information. Oil is much like politics and religion it is based on belief not facts not reason just faith no point in debating it since it is not decided on rational terms....faith is faith ! Just move on And yes most oils far exceed the minimum requirements of a 928 engine. If you track one and expect to go more than 10 hours it better be some pretty good real synthetic oil ....been there done that !

"Reel gud" <in his best redneck voice>

What constitutes "synthetic oil" anyway???

This should be good.

The credentials laboriously typed into your sig speak volumes of "self importance".

It must really burn for a "tech inspector" to come up flat on his *** in a tech discussion.

Maybe you should stick with business administration.

I do not suffer fools well and refuse to debate with idiots..... have an nice day And you have no idea who you are dealing with.....must be some reason that rennlist decided to grant me a lifetime membership and true synthetic oil is not petroleum based despite the court rulings to the contrary and the subsequent degradation of Mobile one. The credentials are and were a somewhat tongue in cheek put down for an "expert" on this forum but easily misunderstood for a casual new contributor to this forum. Do you even OWN a 928 , ever driven one ever, ridden in one, or even seen one in person ??

You demand proof and solid technical data, yet where is your proof or data for the above statement?

I once saw a quote somewhere that sums you up very well, "There is nothing more dangerous than a smart idiot".

Ha, ha, which "court" do you refer to..?

The Advertizement Arbitration Board... a "court"?

I read every page of the Mobil v. Castrol filings, and it was correctly decided that hydroisomerized petroleum met the chemical reference text definition of "synthesized", because it was "substantially changed". The commonplace use from Latin "to put together", Sun+Theoti, simply doesn't apply.

As if that mattered...at all. Why are you pulling out decades old examples anyway? Are you an old fart or something? HC oils TODAY match or exceed PAO and POE base oils of the past. Chevron has a nice white paper on the subject which someone can read to you. Additive package has always been and always will be the *important* part of a finished lube product....duh.

Maybe you just think you know everything, by knowing nothing, and are too arrogant to listen and learn. Have a seat at the kiddie table, buddy.
