Default Air Straightener

If you add an air straightener, it has to be after any turns. I won't help much to add it before a turn because the actual turn itself will disturb the airflow. You must put it inside the MAF on the top side so the air is straightened when passing the sensor.

Remove the MAF and install the small disc straightener on the entrance side of the MAF. Easy and not hard at all. It then will work as it should and the air does not have to make any additional turns before going thru the MAF itself.

So has the shipment left yet? I haven't received it yet.

I am ready now to do the installation since I have found a replacement 928 after engine fire. Will be rebuilding the top end of the original and replacing sensors then move the S/C unit over to that vehicle.

Now the car drives very smoothly (at least it did until I took it to the paint shop)

Hi Guys,

Sorry to bump in on the air straightener subject, but I wanted to say that I saw MJ's Rotrex system at SITM and it looked VERY GOOD. I was impressed at how far it has come, Kudos to Victor and all involved.

Pic sums it up better than I can...

Cheers,

Dave

I'm DIY'ing a kit using a c38-92. I'm trying to figure out the mounting bracket and belt routing. Does anyone have a top down picture and a front on picture of the mounting bracket and belt routing?

Hey Mongo
Haven't been doing anything with superchargers lately. I'm in the middle of starting a new business, which opens January 1, and have have been totally swamped for the last couple of months!!!
The last couple kits I did were for 944's. I think I have most of the parts for a 928 kit, but wont be able to put one together for a couple of months. If you want one, let me know, but it will be a couple months down the road.

Its a Vortex Stage 1 kit (one of Victor’s). Non-intercooled.
