Actually no, but its a good thought. I want to do the tests Tuomo suggested first to see what kind of difference the air pump makes versus just using the intercooler as a heat sinc. Busy with a HS graduation and a few other things, but I'll post that soon

Just leave it stock if you can. If you can't..... might as well put bigger pistons in it. There are a few guys on here who can help with that.

I just had a ride in a 2003 SVT 4.6ltr Mustang with a Vortech(?) SC unit and I couldn't believe how loud the chuffing sound from the relief valve was on the unit a cruising speed. Does the Rotrex chuff much? I would think this is unit is much quieter or I would have heard more about it.

The only time I ever hear anything that sounds odd under the hood is after having my foot in it and letting off the gas. Get a nice WHOOOOOOSH from the BOV. I'm not running the one that comes with the kit though, I wanted it to be louder.

That sounds better. His was chuffing just cruising around! It would disappear when he would press the right foot but would come come back really loud after letting go for the accelerator pedal. It did not sound right to me since it was driving me nuts after a 5 minute drive. I think he has a problem with his set up.

Most Mustang owners do....

That does not sound normal unless he installed one of those special BOV's with the horn on it to sound louder.

Hey Livio, Actually you won't even here the Wooosshh sound unless your standing in front of the car. The setup you have sends the blow off air back around to intake. So the only place you can hear that sound is through the air filter in front of the car.
BTW... when are you coming over to have that installed? How the 21st?

Spent a couple of hours trying to do the blue hose fix. GRRRR!. Still not done. I then need to install the engine into the chassis. I am trying to work towards that date, but I can't guarantee it. I would like to have the engine running well first and I am sure that there will be some issues that need to be addressed after a 4 year hiatus and missed things/adjustments during the engine rebuild.

Work and life has been absolutely insane lately. Ask 69Guageman, since he tries really hard to rub my nose into the fact that the engine is only hours away from installation yet it moves at a snails pace. He keeps coming by in his 90 GT and never fails to mention how nice it is to drive a running 928!

I am so close I can almost taste it!

Are the dimensions that much different than the Murf unit?
Appears that his "S" solution was ditch the clutch fan and leave the intake/oil fill/cable assembly in place.

Even though the Rotrex unit is smaller, it sits in a completely different location than where the Murf vortex unit sits. Someday it may happen, but not yet.

I am very excited to finaly have the VCB super charger on the way. Its been a long time wanting and waiting.
It sounds like Victor has brought the kit up to a level where the bugs are worked out.
I have a intercooler system with a 75mm pulley on the way. I am going to use #60 siemens injectors over the 3 hole Ford, not sure why, just am.
I am hoping the PCV system has been worked out and everything in the kit answers my questions.
The intake is off, I waiting for the kit and the Dyno date is July 8th

I CAN"T WAIT!!

Default I love my Rotrex

Mine is working great and only 6lbs of boost. No intercooler, just an air straightener and some upgrades with the charge tubing. Make sure to tune well and route blow off valve properly and there will be no issues.

Where did you get your air straightener from?
