Victor's Rotrex Supercharger Kit - Group Buy?

Race Car
Yup Fred, Saw that a while back. The reservoir is slightly below the inlets on the supercharger so that's not an issue. I just don't like it being above the belt. My leaking issues have been due to bad crush rings in the past, and now I think it's burping its self out the cap under high use.
Dunno for sure though.
As far as going head to head with a GB Stroker car? Don't waste your time, I guarantee you will be whooped. The amount of torque off the line these engines are putting down is astounding, I swear his dyno numbers are fudged to show them less than they actually are. I know this because I maintain one on a regular basis.

Street fuel, no bull****, no other "power adders". Straight up comparison.
Of course, we'd be willing to bet a few bucks on the results....just to make it worth your time. You can figure out the amount....how about the price of one of the kits?
The "numbers" say that this should be really "easy" money, for you.

Regaurdless this thread is not supposed to be about who can beat who, or what has the most power, or even whats the limits of the system. There is always someone faster. Look at that damn twin turbo Todd has, now that's 5.0 power... Holy crap!! So let Mike do his thing on this group buy thread, and see if he can get to the numbers he is hoping for to save himself and others some cash. We can always start a "Challenge" or "comparison thread" for this other stuff. And I am more than willing to have a Rotrex thread to answer anyone's questions, concerns, issues, or whatever may come up.

There you have it, straight from one of the professionals.... I know Gregs strokers have great torque and power. I would still take the challenge just for the fun of it though. Esp at $9.28. I think it would be a riot!!! Yes we would probably get torqued off the line, but you can only put so much power to the road before smoking the tires, and if we are both on road tires, that could make quite an interesting white smoke show. I may then have to counter challenge and go for a 40 to 80 run on the highway though

I will say that Mike V's rear mount turbo is the quickest thing I think I've ever ridden in. Sterlings is a monster of a car but Mikes felt just smooth. A line up of a GB stroker, Sterlings 6.5, and Miles RT would be a hell of a lot of fun to watch and I would have a heard time placing a winning bet if we had an open couple miles of road. Stop light to stop light I'd have to bet on the stroker engines.
ETA: Another factor in choosing this kit, my car is a daily driver and can't have it out of commission for very long.

I think you have a great product and so far customers are satisfied. My advise is give it to us straight, get a proper dyno sheet from a stock S4 with a stage 1 install and use those numbers to publish rwhp/tq. Your numbers are so far out of line from us Vortech guys that they aren't believable.

In all due respect, I think this thread went off course in the beginning with the statement of 481 rwhp at 6 psi of boost.

What IS a stock S4?
Stock exhaust, nothing else touched?
IMHO, a stage1 kit with the rest of the car worked out to take full advantage of it is a fair statement to stand on...not a car entirely in the way of it's potential.

And I've got a 75mm pulley, not an 80mm and it looks like we have several lower ones to choose from.

This is my last post here about this!!
Here is my dyno sheet with before and after on it. Please note the before numbers!! My car has a rear muffler bypass, with stock headers and exhaust in both the before and after. The car was shark tuned with 24lb injectors in the before. The after is of course with the Rotrex kit, non intercooled and with a 75mm pulley, and well tuned. That is the facts, and all the facts!!! Take it for what you will.
So this will be my last post here about this. If anyone wants more info PM me or lets start a Rotrex supercharger thread OK

That's terrific, and a lot more from injectors and Sharktuning than I think anyone would have guessed, including me. That also confirms what a great investment a Sharktuner is, at only a fraction of the cost of a S/C setup. For more info see http://JDSporsche.com or my website at http://siriuscyber.net/sharktuner.
We can also extrapolate this back to a completely stock car without Sharktuning, compared to a Rotrex setup with standard "safe" tune. Victor's 481 rwhp (from the dyno sheet) compared to 326 (also from the sheet) is +48%, and applying that to a completely stock car at 270 rwhp would be 398 rwhp. That's pretty sweet also!
Cheers,
