I have a full kit made with real wood I bought from Nicole about 4 years ago.
Awesome dark reddish wood - Nicole may have a picture for you if anyone is interested.
I have the real Porsche wood set for my car so the set from Nicole is no longer required.
For sale for $275 plus shipping

This kit was made with the same wood as mine - called "bloody burl". It is authentic wood, and there was only enough for two kits. Therefore we cannot make any more kits with this material.

Roger's kit was spec'd out for his GTS, I believe. This means it would fit other late model cars from 1990 on, as long as they have the same seat memory configuration.

This is not what Nicole and Jager sell (synthetic 3D material) but 3m di-noc carbon fiber vinyl.
Very satisfied with it.

Thanks to Paul Champagne for the door inserts.

So you bought that as a kit Bertrand or did it yourself? Looks pretty high quality to me. They have wood in Di-Noc as well AFAIK. I have a black interior and i think wood would look better in a black interior.

Thank you Barry.

I bought the door inserts and seat hinge covers from Paul.
He also did my rear cargo cover.
I did all the rest myself.

I find it funny that people seek out wood inserts it makes the car look older not newer why are dash boards and floor boards called boards....because they used to ALL be wooden boards ! Morgans used wood frames for years, some fiberglass lotus cars had plywood bulkheads like a boat.
The carbon fiber LOOKS newer but there I find that the FAKE looks like carbon fiber seems a bit ricer. But I care little how it LOOKS I just care how it drives They only impression I enjoy making is out driving someone in their new Porsche. To me that is priceless !

Could somebody clarify what is "real" and what is "synthetic?"
Everything I see listed both on hooked on cars and garage 9, says "synthetic wood" And . . . Nicole has a selection which appears to be only the door panels (synth. wood -- $419) and a selection of 22 pieces not incl door panels (but does include door vent, door **** and door handle) (interior trim kit 22 pieces, synthetic wood --$333.88); it would seem you would need both and that would be $752 for synethetic and not include temp sensor surround nor rear a/c.

Roger: do you have pictures of the pieces that are included in the kit you have which is said to be real wood at $275?

Authentic wood is no longer available - we only offer synthetic woods nowadays.

Authentic wood is a thin layer of wood veneer embedded in the clear polyurethane. It shows the usual depth of real wood, but it can crack when bent too much, and it can fade under certain UV conditions.

Synthetic wood is - as the name says - completely synthetic. We have a variety of materials that look pretty realistic. If you are interested in a kit, tell me which model year and interior color(s), and I will make a few sugestions. If I have samples, I can provide those for review.

There are different kits - the 22 piece kit includes plenty of pieces. You might want to add the rear AC piece or the seat button surround, but I would not recommend to do any more than that.

The other kit is a special kit that includes door inserts and the console pieces. It is meant to mimic the factory wood option. Some of its pieces are included in the 22 piece kit, so you would not have to get both.

You can order any combination of pieces you like - I'll be happy to send you a worksheet and price it out. However, the kits are good ways to save some money, and by sticking to either one, you won't overdo things.

Roger's kit would fit well for your GTS. However, I don't remember, if Roger has the rear AC piece.

I want one of these for my early car, but I wonder how many pieces are going to fit out of the 22. I can call, but anyone know offhand?

The kits are custom made to fit your model of 928. Jager/Garage9 will provide you with a worksheet to pick the exact pieces you need for your car, then custom make and ship them. They have the pieces to cover all model years.
