Joseph, I am sorry for your loss. You can see by the posts here how many people's lives your dad touched and I am certainly one of them. Best to you and your family.

Joseph, this is terrible news about your father. I hope you and your family are holding up with it. I am with everyone else in offering whatever help we in this 928 community might provide in any way that you might need. I'm very sorry for Dan's passing.

It’s a strange and wonderful experience to know that someone you never spoke to, other than in words, could affect another’s life so profoundly. No doubt it comes from sharing an obsession as eccentric as ours. Your father will be missed Joseph; may he rest in peace.

Joseph: Your father and I exchanged only a couple emails, but it was obvious from his contribution here and apparently in his personal dealings that he was a man of quality, character and knowledge all of which he shared. To me that is some ideal measure of a person, if there is such a thing. Peace.

Thank you for sharing this difficult news.
I was one of Dan's first customers of his instrument pod refurbishing business.
Dan will be missed by many in the worldwide 928 community.

Please accept my condolences at this sad news.
Though I never met him, I had also known your Dad as Eric Von Baranov and had a little correspondence with him in both roles. In both he was helpful and decent.
I got to say goodbye to my Dad and it sounds as if you did, too. I hope so, as it was the only good element in the situation.
He was a mensch. May he rest in peace.

Joseph, your Father was a great contributor to the community here. Though I never met him in person, he always provided excellent input based upon lots of experience and common sense. I share in the great outpouring of empathy towards you and your family. The many comments you have read here are a testament to your Father's contribution towards others. And as has been said, these contributions are forever here to help the new and old 928 owner.
Sincerest regards.

Joseph, I am saddened to hear of Dan's passing. My most sincere condolences to you and your family. His experience, help and generous advice were much appreciated and he will be missed. He was philosophical about his condition the last time I saw him and seemed reconciled to what he told me was his likely future. He also said that he had had a good life with a son he was proud of and a wife that loved him. Not all of us can say as much. R.I.P.
