I kind of like the look, I was looking for original finish clamps mine were in good shape but the finish was worn off. I decided to try painting them black and it looks pretty good without the stainless against the rubber. IMAG0429.jpg

The original clamps aren't stainless, so I just cleaned, wire brushed and washed them. Some good primer and 3 coats of heat resistant paint.
