Default Repair radiator core

I just returned from the radiator shop and as they said the core is bad. It appears that the bottom two rows leak. They can weld them to shut off the flow at the bottom. They claim that it won't cause a cooling problem. Cost $300. I am sure I will have to buy new side tanks as well.
Anyone been through this?

Ha!
I just called Mark Anderson and bought that leak free used unit for $400
I even told the radiator guy that it was for a Honda.

Maybe the Honda radiator is harder to repair. George Suennen had a couple of holes worn into the core of his radiator by a couple of "muffin" fans used as part of his Murph supercharger kit. The raidiator shop (Mel & Sons in Concord) fixed it with some kind of epoxy for about $65 or $70. It has held up perfectly through two ~200 MPH open road races and two trips in excess of 1K miles each.

I had mine epoxied. Been 4 months. No issues. Just put 500 mile round trip on it. Now if I can just get that oil pan gasket torque right so it stops leaking . . . . .
