Todd,
Thanks again for the ride. I captured the second gear pull! Obviously you can't quite get a sense of how this thing throws you back in the seat, but you do hear the turbos spooling up! My reaction pretty much tells the story!

Boy that things sounds MEAN. Those ginourmous turbos seem to be spooling pretty dang quick too! I saw that gentle curve coming up in the road and was waiting for things to get sideways in a hurry. Seems to be hooking up well too.

Just got off the dyno at Beyond Redline in Green Bay. This is a bone stock never taken apart long block with a custom twin turbo setup. This includes the original factory head gaskets and head fasteners. This does have a custom intake manifold, but still stock exhaust manifolds with custom flanges for the turbos. Engine has 59K miles.
I've been working pretty hard in my day job for the last couple of years and neglecting all things related the 928. This thread may have motivated me to get back into the garage.

Impressive work
Haven't been around for a while and one of the first threads I saw when checking in was this.
Simply awesome and great to look at the detail pictures of the exhaust/intake setup!
Great stuff and fun read

CR has not been changed,Engine long block assembled by Porsche in Nov. of 1987. I changed water pump, valve covers, intake manifold are the only new parts changed. Todd

In January of 2012 on 93 octane gas at 20.5 psi of boost it made 722WHP.Luke said the tune was very safe,so I ran that tune throw summer. Todd

We have the same long block and my slightly smaller turbos are not a bottle neck. Therefore, I am guessing your edge comes from a combination of three things:
(1) You run a better computer and/or have a better tune. I am still running the stock computers mapped by a novice (me), and my stock computers lose precision at above 6000 rpm.
(2) I am running the stock intake manifold, which among other things may make fuel tuning difficult with the stock computer.
(3) Something else.
By the way, I think we spoke on the phone about the RPM specific boost curve way back when. I assume you're doing that and the gear-specific boost curve as well. Is that all done by Autronic?
As I wrote earlier, I've been working non-stop at the day job for two years. (Yes, it sucks, but the budget constraint has also shifted.) Your results are motivating me to cut back the hours there and look at the car again.

So you are quite clearly ahead of me. The most I've been able get is slightly above 650 whp, and I used maybe a bit more boost for that (I really ramp up the boost only above 5000) at the extreme.

I am not sure if Todd is spraying the intercooler at this time. I suppose he may be, but I don't recall that.
As for the numbers (and the reality of the car, which is spectacular) - its just some really great engineering and a bunch of effort and proper thinking.

(3) Something Else <-- Methanol injectors spraying on the intercooler and a completely custome intake manifold is certainly something else. See this link for some pics http://www.erik27.com/todd/turbo/index.htm

On 93 octone gas I was spraying the intercooler with water, but no meth in the manifold at fulll boost, intake air temp was about 8 to 10 degrees above ambient air temp on the 722WHP tune. Todd
