Todd,

I had the pleasure of seeing this beast in the paddock at Road America and you are an engineering artist. I'll be there on the 13th with likely the only 928 on the track that weekend. It's great seeing GTR and Viper guys drooling over Todd's mad skills and workmanship.

Looks like a well done project.

I don't know the backgrounds of everyone over on this side but I have found a few fixes to the factory block if anyone is interested.

I am really looking forward to seeing some quarter mile runs. If it can hold together it should be quite impressive.

I've just started cranking mine up slightly and have went 127. I'm hoping to hit 130 in the next week.

Yours should put these water cooled cars on the map for sure!!!

Good job.

Yes, 3rd gear was used for dyno run, I would like to run 4th gear but when we tryed, dyno roller speed exceeds dyno limits. With 220 dif gears and 27.5 Dia. tires, roller speed was 168mph at about 6600 crank rpm in 3rd gear.

How much boost are you running? I like the methanol IC sprayer. Wise!

What kind of turbos are those?

What's the lag like? (those turbos look pretty large!)

That custom intake is also gorgeous. It appears a ton of work went into fabricating that. What are the five ports on the back side for?

You should be very proud of your work.
22.5 psi boost ,Garrett GT 3076 with Tial 1.06 V band turbine housings. Turbo lag is present at low RPM, by 3200 rpm not bad, 4000rpm almost no lag. I think a higher stall tork convertor will help with this, five port are for vc-boost to fuel regulator,map-senser boost-gauge power brake booster.

I initially thought about a kit involving as many hard parts as possible (tbd) and guidance documentation.

Maybe something similar. The answer was basically excellent tuning and NO detonation.

That's kind of funny:

So, I guess it is possible for the CV joint to go out, maybe these had some corrosion on them?

I also wonder the same thing,, how can this hold together, I think in the long term or short term it will show the cars weak part. for know I am just happy with the power. When it breaks I will have to make those parts stronger.

I like that you say "when" and not "if." Boost will always reveal the weak links. And 22.5 psi is a lot of boost! Have fun! And what would you estimate a package like ths would cost?
