I was thinking of doing the same type of problem / response that I do on RL.
Some of the reply's I make are very detailed and could be put into a how to fix this thread.

The only issue I can see with that approach is that we have other members that respond similarly, so the board would need to justify why one member gets a membership cost waiver, and others don't. For example Wally's posts are typically quite comprehensive.

With that said, I am certainly will to advise the board of your offer, if you want me to.

So I wasted a vote? Double-gosh-darn... The OC needs a leadership of do-ers, not talkers, critics and snipers. Lead by example.
+928 Roger we need you to stay involved with the running of the OC.

That's too bad Barry; not much of a contribution.

Folks will come around in due time. Faster with persuasion rather than shaming.

I am neutral, thank you very much. See my sig.

Default Haven't thought about turning off sigs before to address wasted space. Great idea.

I am following this thread loosly and I still don't know what is going on behind the scenes but I will comment on whether Roger should be a trustee since he asked for opinions. If we were talking about being a member of the US Congress or something important I could see a conflict. We are only talking about keeping a great model of car current and on the road. Roger has done a lot for the 928 by finding us great prices on parts. He owns 928's and drives them so that makes him qualified to be a trustee in my book. As someone just looking at this fight from the outside I think people are taking a car club just a little too serious. IMHO

James - look again at Barry's sig. Not the same as your "sig" (or lack of one). I could care less what people put in their signatures for the most part, altho it is very helpful to see the car(s) people have or other useful information in order for me to assess whether they might know what they are talking about when they answer my questions (including membership in the 928OC - yes, I think it does add some credibility still).
Barry changed a sig to make a statement. I think it's unproductive and too bad. The 928OC is a good organization with good people running it, but the events of late have gotten out of hand, and it would be better for everyone, especially those who are not even members or otherwise involved, to step back and let it decompress. Anyway, that's why I posted what I did.

just my.928p's worth But if Roger is a trustee and vendor, Dave and Wally are trustee's and vendors, why not ask Mark A if he would be a trustee as well and then there is: no conflict of interest and all the major venders are on board?

i'll go away now
