I cannot provide the facts Austin as being banned theres no access to the accusations made and the subsequent posts where the almighty one, now ignored, directed you and Brad to act according to his orders.

Wouldn't surprise if the aforemntioned OC thread/posts are sufficiently deleted so others who were not paying attention at the time will never know the full story.

This is a technical forum where Im happy to participate and will not repordise the relationship to air what is now very poor decision making on 928OC moderators and their single minded, control freak dictator.

I have way better things to do with my life and time to truly worry about this with one absolute love being driving one of my 2 928s. Perhaps others should crawl away from their computers, come out of their basement and face the real world.

Sean, thx for starting this thread...............perhaps time it was closed?

Eric, thx for permitting free speech and opinion.

Vote Andrew Olson president 928OC

Eric, thx for permitting free speech and opinion.
Freedom of speech in Malcolm's world is where he can make unsubstantiated statements without having to be bothered with his past statements or other facts.

In your matter Austin acted alone, as he has stated. Your continued divisive statements confirm why I supported Austin's decisions with regard to you.

For those of you who might be interested, Malcolm's moderator authority was removed:
1. Because he edited a post without any reason
2. Because he did not report that he had edited the post
3. Because when confronted he claim it was a mistake (then why not advise someone?)
4. Because Malcolm stated he did not do any moderating and this was his first time doing so (yet by mistake?)

If Malcolm was not performing any moderator functions, then there was no reason for him to have the authority, particularly when at the very least he improperly edited a post and chose not to advise anyone.

Malcom,

You have earned my respect over the years through Rennlist participation. My reaction to your first "Banned" thread was that it was out of character for you to go postal. I am struggling to understand your post deletion request. That is a gesture of "I'm leaving and taking my toys with me." Done! But you continue to support Andrew for the organization that you do not seem to want to fully support.

Doesn't make sense to me. You don't owe me clarification. Just sayin.

Perhaps I am overestimating the cumulative value of your 928 OC posts such that post deletion really has no consequence to the community?

You do realize that some folks will have problems with this.

Just to illustrate a potential perception: movie character minions taking initiative to please the master.

I seriously doubt that most would carry this opinion. Clearly there are a few that do.

I appreciate your thought, but why would Austin or Brad care that I approve? I am done in just a few weeks. It isn't as though I could provide them *anything* now, in the past or the future.

They are volunteers doing what they believe to be the best for the 928 community. Malcolm just puts their efforts into the thankless job category.

Thankless is right. I feel badly for you Stan. You are already on your way out and folks seem to be going way out of their way to make it a bumpy exit for you.

To answer your question, you are still the leader. Also, you still care about the club. You helped raise it since it was still just a baby. If you are a lame duck, you are a lame mother duck.

James......glad to clarify.

I chose to not participate any further with 928OC until after the election due to being falsely accussed of misuse of my role as moderator. My first attempt was to try and 'ignore' the ranting of the current president which failed as he has ultimate power. Then I fatfingered a post of his which lead to said false acqusations and after a heated exchanged made my decision the club was best served by no further participation. The other party is so obsessed continues with his feud despite the fact I cannot respond and his ignore status on this forum.

what everyone doesnt see is all the behind the scenes bitterness, fighting with the current dictator and other current board members as well as past original board members.

I support Andrew as the Ive met him face to face (OCIC) as well as intercated many times on this forum, publicly and privately. The other candidate has done a fantastic role for 928OC and hope he continues with his position post election. If the other candiadate wins then unless he can control the current president the club will run as it has.

Now that all said Im off for a drive then to a football game....see ya

When a poster expresses that they want all of their posts removed/deleted and that they are discontinuing their participation, I will uphold there request and then ban them. The decisions, by these posters, to announce cutting ties with our forums hasn't been very popular among other regulars of our forums. As I've said before, when either of them indicate to me that when they wish to participate again, they will be allowed.

I find it ironic for Malcolm to suggest that Brad and I work under the strings of Stan. Stan hasn't been moderated any different than anyone else. Actually, Malcolm must've once thought this to be true when he complimented Brad and I for being "fair and unbiased" in our efforts to moderate the OC forums during this election period. His comments here contradict his comments over there.
Ahh, since I have not returned to the OC forum I was unaware that you have "banned" me. So please explain as to what violations transpired for me to be "banned" please?

I asked for my posts to be deleted and nothing more, it was my decision to not return and now you are stating, either by Stans direction or your own poor decision making skills that I have to beg to return?

Fvck that, you just made the decision for me very easy. This is the sort of 'moderation' that has a few up in arms.

To clarify, you actually didn't clarify. We get there may be differing accounts of your moderation - no problem. Folks will take sides and cling to fragmented evidence and superimposed motives. No problem.

My concern was post deletion. If you still care about the community why would you request to have your history of posts in its forum deleted. This part doesn't make sense to me. This part can change one's impressions of you.

Gee, Sean. I thought you had already made your decision.

There is plenty of explanation supplied here for your viewing pleasure. No need to best a dead horse, right? It's a simple standard really; I didn't ban you for rule infractions.

There is no need for begging, either. If you want your account restored (including posts), then you tell me. Same thing for Malcolm. Both of you have been positive contributors before, and I know you can again when the topic is 928s. The difference between you and others that have debated in the political discussions at the OC forums is that you lost your head. Dave Roberts, Roger, and others continue to post because they can do so without losing their head. It's not political, as some think. Anyone of reason can see that Brad and I are trying to be "fair and unbiased" as Malcolm described us.

I didn't "loose my head".

I got tired of the lies, back stabbing and general bull****. I don't really take BS lightly.

So, in order for me to be allowed back in to a place I am still a member and have paid monies to, I have to ask to be allowed back in even though there have been no rules violations?

Gotcha.

Just for pure clarity of facts - Stan took a unilateral decision to remove Malcolm as a moderator from the OC forum without any consultation with Malcolm or the Board. As a Trustee and stand up member of the 928 community Malcolm should have been given the benefit of the doubt until the Board could have become involved. I as a member of the Board abhor Stan’s vindictive decision to remove a standing board member from the OC Moderation team without discussion. I saw this action as an easy way for Stan to hit out at the opposition without recourse from the Board or the members. A one man Judge and Jury.
Just the way I see it.

Did I say "ask" or did you say "ask?"

I was thinking that same thing. If there was not a rules violation then how can someone get banned? Any organization needs to allow free lawfull speech whether you like the speech or not.
