Never underestimate the power of a slammed door.
Down to just a few things to do on Marvin. Have not been able to get the windshield wipers to work. My brother and I went to the post office the other day. When he got in the passenger side...he SLAMMED the door shut. I started to get pissed and then.....the wipers started doing their thing. I must of left them on from the last round of repairs. Anyway.....if it doesn't work and you don't have a clue where to go next....slam the door.
Now to get the speedo and od to work.

Still remember in the Factory workshop manual section on automatic transmissions after several other recommendations for a shifting problem it Says, hit the housing with a wooden mallet ! Sometimes you just have to get the cars attention

No, slamming the door induces a voltage of over 9000V, thus overheating and reflowing all the PCB's in the car, this is what fixed it...
