For Sale: My Guards Red 1987 S4!!!
Hey Guys,
It's been a great experience bringing this car back to life and speaking to many of you.
I am selling my car as I am getting married next July and we are purchasing another home together. I need to free up some cash mainly to pay for the wedding.
As most of you know, this car has been thoroughly gone over, was just inspected and everything which needed to be replaced has been and then some! It is Guards Red with Black leather interior. It has brand new Kumho tires, new fuel lines, new vacuum lines, a newly rebuilt auto transmission as well as a full intake refresh, full timing belt replacement/service and CE panel refresh.
The car has 106,000 miles, runs and drives beautifully and is absolutely striking as it has been garage kept it's entire life! I put a monumental amount of time and effort into making everything safe, reliable and up to date as my original intentions were to keep it. My efforts have fully paid off as the car is now something very special which the next owner will truly enjoy.
$14,000

Man..I dunno...I dont think Id sell my 928 for some 1-day bling cash for a wedding.
Wife/Family/Happiness = Investment & Comfort.
Losing your 928 to pay the caterer...
All kidding aside..good news! (on the wedding)

Yes, I bought the car in May and have been all over it from then till now. Don't let the short amount of time fool you, I have a lot of hours into this car.

Thanks, it's adding up quick, lol. With every appointment I make (Photographer, DJ, Flowers, etc) the cost's are climbing quickly. Even the catholic church has a steep fee now. I guess the days of just giving a donation are long gone now...

Great News on the Wedding! I am with Speedtoys but I am afraid I might sound harsh.
If it is both your first wedding, drop some cash but don't go crazy. Classy weddings don't have to cost a mountain of money.
If you've both been there done that, consider doing something smaller scale. Its about what happens for years after the ceremony and not the ceremony itself.
In ANY circumstance, make one more appointment with a Family Law attorney and get yourself a Prenup if you are bringing anything into the marriage (and it sounds like you have a home). It's a preventative maintenance thing and it has a profound effect on people who end up throwing away marriages after a few years....
As my family law buddy said - "Discuss the prenup with her and if she REALLY decides to balk, you need to decide to walk."
Remember your wedding can cost a fraction of the cost of a divorce. Not being a buzz-kill but our society doesn't let "Happilly Ever After" play out often.
I wish you the best and think the life you build together IS worth more than hanging on to a car.
Good Luck!
