Default We got him back on the road...

Got him back on the road just before sunset Laura and Barbara managed to get the local NAPA store to open up and got some additional (US-size) copper washer that I annealed (and modified the inside diameter).

By dubbeling up the washer we're able to overcome the deflex in the (Banjo) end of the pipe and got it sealed.

He appears to still have the same issue so when he is home he plans to work on the damper.

No one was left behind apart from Laura, Mike and Mika

Just rolled in after spending last night in DFW as a guest of the Curry's. It was great to see all the new friends from this summers 928 OCIC again and to make more new friends. The driving was outstanding. I'll bet Sean never stops at the bottom of a dip in the road when others moving at near warp speed are known to be coming up behind.

Ditto on all the kudos and thanks to the entire crew that put this together. As others have said it's the people that make owning a 928 so rewarding. Anyone who needs more great driving this coming weekend should haul up to Eureka Springs, AR (6 hours from the DFW area) for the Porsche Palooza (also this years PCA Escape weekend.) We will be tearing up the Ozark back roads all weekend.

Got tired of sitting behind those slow guys up front, you'd think Chuck was leading or somethin.

Sooooo, I held back 'cause I knew John was up for a fun run. I did wonder what the comments were going to be since I was just sitting there and I knew in my heart he'd come over that crest ***** to the wall.

Did he tell you about how bad we both sucked the leather off our seats on some of those corners? When it says 45, and you double it to take it at speed. Only double it and do not add 15 to it. Whoa nelly.

Great great pics! Esp. The party pics. Is that the real Hans or just another wax copy? He is everywhere all at once.

Looks like a ton of fun!

That is an awesome logo... very representative of the party....

Someone needs to edit the logo and add Seans quote:

He did mention something about realizing the instant he came over that crest that something was going to have to change "really soon" or it was going to get "interesting."

If no one was in front of me as a reference I just coasted into the curve at a reasonable speed and then started applying power until I felt it get a little unstable. Worked pretty well. I plan to use the "double plus 5" rule this weekend in Eureka Springs. We'll see how that pans out.

the 'double plus 15' fun runs sure are a challenge for the Weissachs brakes, and tyres and the driver
