That's the coolest thing I've seen this week. Awesome.

Very interesting. I like it alot.

You should clear wrap it now to protect the stickers.

Wow!
What a fantastic piece of art.
To me It's like a 928 up on a soap box saying FU (with grace) to all the bashers over the years.

Speaks to me obviously.

OP, you wouldn't happen to have a few stickers that look like band-aids would ya?

I'm amazed you could do that in just 80 hours. Fantastic job!

Love the headlight buckets...

I already get a little mesmorized watching the scenery pass and distort in the buckets... I can imagine a mirror finish must look incredible...

I'm pretty sure that is the #1 press car in this photo. (An photo from Car & Driver)

Let me know if you need more press photos. I have collected a quite a few... of press cars, matter of fact... which seems fitting.

Very happy to see you kept the car very original!

I few questions, comments, observations:

Did the car originally have the rear wiper?

Also, inkeeping with your chrome headlamp buckets (which are awesome!), the door lock bezels should be chrome ('78 only). Strangely, the only chrome bit on the car, as it was.

The Blau radio you sourced is period correct, but not what was originally fitted.

Is the speedo in MPH or KPH?

Are those 951 wheels on the rear?

Does it have the original stainless steel gas cap?

As you can see, I'm very curious.

Again, well done... and thank you for sharing!
Thank you again guys. I'm humbled by your positive feedback. This was definitely a labor of love and I'm really really happy it's been so well received. The car is far from perfect but it's come a long way.

In answer to your questions:
1. I have the rear and front wipers but would like to refinish them before putting them back on.
2. Did not know about the door lock bezels being chrome on '78s. Mine are black.
3. Yes, the Blaupunkt is from a 1978 924. It's as close as I could come after searching for a few months.
4. Speedo is MPH. About 84,300 miles now.
5. Yes, 951 wheels on rear from previous owner who wanted a wider tire. I've gone to stock tire size but have not sourced correct rims.
6. I do not have the original stainless steel gas cap. I had to source a red 928 cap when I bought it.

Thanks very much. My plan is to enjoy it for a while and take it to shows. If you are serious about purchasing it, I'll always listen to offers. My contact is on my website.

Troy, you gave me chills. That's exactly the motivation behind the car.
