1978 Porsche Press Tribute Car
Thought you guys might be interested in the art car I created for the Woodward Dream Cruise in Michigan last weekend. I finished it in time for the local Porsche club event (RSR region) on Friday night. Here is a link with pictures and detail. Cheers, Paul

Thank you very much! As an artist and car guy, I designed it to be permanent. The previous repaint was so awful it didn't make financial sense to me to restore it traditionally. I printed a lot of extra stickers to replace as needed from future weathering, peeling, scratches, etc. even though it's a fair weather friend and always garage kept.

Thanks guys. Yes, about 300 stickers hand laid over 80 hours. I pulled window trim, lights and mirrors just like a paint job. Sanded the paint with 320 and cleaned with paint prep to get the best adhesion I could. Each sticker is trimmed around curves with relief cuts. In many curves there are multiple stickers to cover all the paint.

You just blew my mind! Very well done!!
I'm pretty sure that is the #1 press car in this photo. (An photo from Car & Driver)
Let me know if you need more press photos. I have collected a quite a few... of press cars, matter of fact... which seems fitting.
Very happy to see you kept the car very original!
I few questions, comments, observations:
Did the car originally have the rear wiper?
Also, inkeeping with your chrome headlamp buckets (which are awesome!), the door lock bezels should be chrome ('78 only). Strangely, the only chrome bit on the car, as it was.
The Blau radio you sourced is period correct, but not what was originally fitted.
Is the speedo in MPH or KPH?
Are those 951 wheels on the rear?
Does it have the original stainless steel gas cap?
As you can see, I'm very curious.
Again, well done... and thank you for sharing!
