Kenny,
I had my windshield replaced on my '89 with Sigla. It was done at a place right down the street from my house and was less than $200. 2 years ago.

People think all glass is the same, it isn't. The Chinese glass will break easier. No comment on Safelite, gook luck.

Not that I am aware of. There are small rubber parts that the glass bears on at points across the bottom and then mastic all around.

Actually, my 90GT glass had a rubber seal all around it, and it had a cut-out for the vin plate on the driver's side. I have not been able to tell in PET what the part number is, but it was the first 928 I've seen with that kind of seal. I remember reading somewhere that MY'91 had "A-pillar" gasket or seal on the inside but can't find it anywhere now. Perhaps someone with a '91-up can take a peak. I personally would love to have that part for my windshield when the car is put back together.

EDIT: Think I found it in PET 92-95 years, section 805, item 11, part number 928 555 509 02, it is called piping. Could this be it?

Cheers!
