I agree this has a dismaying, ominous feel. So much so that the burning curiosity it raises, despite its origin in only the best motives, has a prurient feel. Eeeeew.

I, like so many others, hope I am reading something MORE ominous into your original post than was intended. But, it sounds like you are facing a most serious time in your life, and thinking most definitely of your loved ones and what is best for them. I'm sorry, as all are, to hear about the necessity for you to "liquidate", and wish you the best in whatever the future holds.

I read this post last night and immediately got a lump in my throat. I have come back several times since then hoping there would be a post from you with good news. Although I may have never conversed with you, like so many of us who hover here and live vicariously through yours and other posts, in a strange way we (or at least I) consider you a friend and wish you only the best. There may only be two pages of replies but there are almost 1200 views from people who care about your well-being and are hoping like I am that the post was written in the wrong light. Peace.

 

I really hope everything is much better than it sounds from your post. You and your family are now in my families prayers.

I am trying to avoid this thread, because I don't want to find truth in what we are all (or most) are presuming...I have not been here that long, but Dan jumped right in to help answer my questions, and I too feel like I have a friend who is suffering....I hope I am wrong...God bless....

 

Not sure if this is posting the obvious, but have any of you that are close friends to Dan picked up the phone and tried calling him???

He hasn't logged in since the original post, so unless he is lurking these posts/messages are not getting to him....or helping him in any way if that is what he needs.

Sometimes a single phone call and hearing a caring voice is worth more than a million forum posts.
