Sterling, I am not sure about your posting here but I hope you will take Sean up on that dinner invitation and consider the time you have invested in your machine.

Maybe your just at point of frustration that needs to be figured out then worked around.
You clearly have way to much time and caring and money invested to toss it away IMHO.

If I was closer, I would be having a sit down to discuss other ways to work through your considerations.
Come on man, your perfectionist attitude should be realigned to get back in the game!

Wow, I don't know when this was posted... But.. This car should have been sold immediately for 50k. IMO it doesn't really matter why the car is being sold. The owner has made up his mind and given a price. The buyer here will be making out like a bandit.

Best on the sale Sterling.

This is the SINGLE baddest 928 probably in existence IMHO. It may not be running now, but holy crap, Sterling and this car have been around for AGES. It was one of the reasons I got into 928s in the first place.

Maybe a bit of research before meaningless comments? It is a sale thread after all, but honestly, if you don't know about this car, and don't care to do a little research, move along.

I was going to post the link the Sterling's webpage, but it seems it's been taken down.
Good Point.
Jebsus, if I could afford to consider this opportunity, I'd have the ticket booked to Texas already.
To those who don't know....the Star Trek bit comes to mind...."to boldly go".
And the last HP figures I heard on a NA motor........

It's kind of hard to do research when all of the relevant threads have been deleted...

It's an awesome 928 and worth every penny (and then some) to the right buyer, but there probably aren't many out there with the $$ and 928 expertise to take on this car.

Who's going to keep the parts vendors alive now?

Seriously, I'm sorry to hear this, but at the same time I understand. We only have limited time on this planet, and priorities shift over time. I used to say I would never ever sell my 928, but I'm not so sure these days (at least I have driven a few hundred miles this year).

What's important is not to make a knee jerk decision that you may regret later. If you are convinced the excitement won't come back, then by all means get your money out and move on. But if you think a longer break might change things, I hope you will give it the necessary time.

I had a great time riding in your car at my last ICOC and hope to see it 100% completed some day. I hope it will still be under your ownership.

Sterling, Nicole is giving you good advice. If you want, bring the car to my house and let it sit in the garage for a month. If you still feel the same way then, we will re-assemble it and put it up for sale as the running exotic that it is. You need some time to chill and collect your thoughts.

Could someone post a link about this car for newbies like me? I understand 928sg.com is out of the air. I like the idea of varioram and how it is executed.

See Randy's post above.

Any and all information about this project was removed a short while ago by the owner of said project.

Which is why many question the seriousness of this sale since very few people have the information stored in their noggin to fully understand what this car is all about.
To limit your potential buyers to only these individuals while asking a premium for a 928 doesn't really add up.
