Looks like the same GTS bought by a Canadian that was imported from Japan last year. T

Probably not a scam. You can import 928s from Japan pretty cheap, even after all of the import & shipping costs. Likely just trying to sell quickly and pocket some money - Nothing wrong with that. My experience has been that a PPI is even more important on a Japanese import than on a domestic car. The ad certainly seems to address some of the typical 928 issues. Cool colour, but some interior photos would have been nice.

Agreed. The rear fender flares are kind cool though. If it's the same GTS as I mentioned above, it's a beauty inside & out. T

Looks like it's Magenta inside.

I don't like the front fender flares - they just have no flair.

The car is the real deal (not a scam). Malcolm and I had a look at it last weekend.
As Nicole mentioned, magenta interior. Some body panels appear to have been painted (you can see the drivers rear in the picture, color appears different there). The mechanical appears good with the present owner doing most of the work (as mentioned in the ad). Needs motor mounts, shocks also appear original (from what I saw). Did not take it for a drive as the color and front flares did not do much for me. Idled smooth. The intake was repainted so could not tell if it got heat soaked while in Japan. Interior was good given almost 20 years.
I believe the owner frequents this site so if anyone has questions ...

Does anyone have insight into the logic behind this Japanese requirement? Is there some sort of regulation as to how close the tire tread can be to the edge of the fender??

Protecting pedestrians from the tire is what I heard.

Regarding the front flares - if a buyer were to have painting done, why not put on a pair of S4 front fenders???? Pretty easy and inexpensive to do. I do like the rear "flare" protection against chips that the Japanese cars have.

Glenn,

Did you get any pictures of the interior that you could post?

I saw this car with Glenn on sunday......nice example of a ROW '92 GTS...........needs a few TLC points but it seems to be complete, starts and idles well.

Paint and interior colours dont do it for me........fender flares can be removed.

Low miles but it did live in Japan where they dont see much open road and get heat soaked repeatedly.

The price includes many expensive upgrades....could be a great deal....I know one female that really liked it...........we need a 3rd car right?

No need to as it has them under the flairs. They are mounted with just four small screws and some two sided tape.
