Anyone near Roseville that can take a look, make sure it's as good as it looks, see what it looks like underneath, see if it's been repainted, ownership history, miles and verify the engine condition?
I am very interested.

Engine stuff is easy to me , this would be a steal on the east coast.. Most of the cars I've seen at that price point are pretty baked inside. Someone save this car !

I haven't seen any posts on your car's restoration. Glad it's turned out well. Do you have pics somewhere? or a dedicated thread?

So, there is nobody in the Sacramento area that can take look for me? I have no interest in wasting anyone's time. I wouldn't ask if I wasn't more than halfway in my decision-making process.

So I sent the link to my dad to see if he might want to join our little club. He lives in Folsom and surprisingly is on his way to check it out this morning. If he doesn't buy it, I'll tell you what he finds out. Hell, if he does buy it (fingers crossed), I'll tell you what he finds out.

Don, Man I used it for my physical theropy. I have a bunch of pictures but not a complete run. I built the entire engnie and detailed the engine compartment as well as I could. New motor mounts, all Porken stuff, X pipe and s300 chips. I have one small tear on the drivers side bolster and a few bad places in the paint. But man it shines like a diamond when cleaned and waxed up. Now I am replacing all AC parts with new. I am afraid I have about 10k in it so far but I absolutely love it. Oh, I forgot the suspension, I also did new rack, derlin bushings, new breaks all around and had a perfect alignment. I am still working on getting the CO adjusted right.
This project would just be a do-over. I love the color and to be honest, I would just about trade anythng for a 5 speed.

My dad's feedback:
I stopped by his shop and looked at the car.
It is fairly clean with a good body. Dark Blue paint that is not perfect but not bad. A few rock chips on the front.
Good tires
Interior is not too bad.
The mechanic said it has the transmission replaced recently and the timing belt and rollers replaced as well.
He did not know about the air.
It has 104,000 miles on it.
However it does have a cracked head, not a head gasket.
I talked to [brother] about it and he advised me to stay away as he has worked on the engines before and they require specialty skills and special tools.
He said because it has aluminum cylinders, they are a real problem to rebuild. He also said the head cracked for a reason. I could spend $5,000 on repairing one head and then the other one could also be bad. He suspected that either a cooling problem or fuel system problem most likely caused the first one to crack and if unidentified the other one could also crack or it would do it again.
He indicated by the time I was done I could end up spending another $15k on it for a car that would be worth $13.
It would be a good buy for someone, but I don’t think I want to take the risk.
