Modified breather design as seen at OCIC

It was right at 3k rpm..........the car and myself could have went a 'little' more but the passenger brakes were in operation
On another note I filled up in Great Falls, MT and did 530kms to home with +200kms to go in fuel.......wow!!!

Malcolm thanks for doing that so quickly you say there is no vent (elbow) from the driver side cam cover? so the hose that I see in the picture coming from the front PS cam cover goes under the fuel rail to the PS oil filler neck vent connection?
Sounds very good thanks for taking the time to do this.
Remember get your self a Porken clutch stop when you tackle you're master cylinder.

Malcolm,
Just a thought for you since you got these great results with your OCIC trip on fuel and oil consumption.
Run a compression and leak down test so you have a good base line of the condition as it now in case you want to have data for looking forward to the future with your car.

I'm not sure what the engineers were trying to do in 1992.

yes and yes........no elbows on DS cam cover and the front PS cam cover elbow to the oil filler neck.
I ordered a new clutch master, blue hose and the Porken clutch stop........thx again for your generous offer in Kansas.
Prost........

As Malcolm said that his GTS didn't require any oil to be added during his OCIC trip and as per post #32 he confirms that he has the PS rear elbow with the 6mm orifice restrictor.
If indeed he will find oil in the TB now (dependent on whether he will take the time to check this now) than this may over time lead to the piston rings in his engine to seize in the groves and thereby increase blow-by and oil consumption.
The fact that the GTS models don't have the drain back holes behind the scraper ring makes them more receptive than any other model 928.
So the prevention of oil in the TB is key even for those cars that don't use any oil now and the addition of a good cleaning agent such as Swebco 502 and recommended by Greg is good advice for 928 owners to follow.

My GTS engine probably has never had a trip since new that I just completed; 9 days and 6000 kms and 2 of those days it was parked at OCIC so this is a great opportunity to see what condition its in but I believe we know the answer
