Great thread and great save of a GT. I also heard the RED GTs are faster....

so, it was probably prudent move not overly modding....seems they are worth quite a bit more than was conjectured back 'bout 12-13 years ago, but i would also guess its aa keeper so it don't matter....and.....nice car...

Congratulations. I did the same. P. O had the timing belt pulled off. Then left the car sitting like that for 8years. After spinning the engine by hand. I felt no compression. So off came the heads and out to the machine shop they went for a three angle valve job. Also took the opportunity to send the intake and valve covers out for powder coating. Turns out that the valves were fine it's just a lot of carbon buildup that was stopping them from completely sealing. As it stands the car needs a new paint job a lot of interior work. New motor mounts are to be placed on then I will reassemble the engine 😁. Then the real work begins
