The wing is missing cause the car is on the way to paint.
Going to a 315/30/18 tire so don't make fun of the stretched 295s
Yeah on the GT part, seams like I always pay collector price, but it is a high mile car 120,000 so will it ever be that collectable? I bought for the konis cams, and gear ratio. And its RED
This is my 69 Camaro
Supercharger in a box also

Some updated pics.
Finally took the plunge into the motor. I will just leave it at "its getting everything"
Got my wheels back last night from the painter. Only took 3 months.

Mine has over 200K on it..and more every year... I do/did mod it....but nothing that can't be brought back to stock easily. The 89GT is one of the rarest of 928's..and in the long term...mileage won't matter....originality will..

If you get it back to stock solid running condition, it will always have a premium over the 895sp or later GTs (90/91)...
If you want to mod the 928..find a 87 or 88 5sp....and go to town. I bet there are 87/88 5sp owners that would be willing to swap

It is your car, money and time, but as usual, I advice to do modifications that can be reversed only.
First, you can change your mind.
Second, if you want to sell the car, you will certainly find buyers that don't share your taste.
By the way, red is fine for a 928

I have a 90 GT and also recommend not doing serious mods. However 1/4 panels can be returned to stock looking at the right hands. Many years ago I bought a 70 brown chevelle with a blown motor and fancy chrome rims from a mexican guy. I looked it over and bought it cheap. Moral of the story I have a numbers matching 454 LS6. Who would think a chevelle in the 80's was going to be worth money.

Well not alot has happened since I took on this project. Amazing how so many other things get in the way.
Motor had to come out. It was just to grease covered to get clean.

You pulled the motor to clean it?!?! That is ambitious. In my opinion only someone who wants maximum value in the car would do that. If you want maximum value don't flare the fenders. But that IMHO.....
