finally!:
Yours cleans up the front area considerably and looks nice! Jim M's addresses the other issue. It also looks nicely done. You could combine the two.
I agree Jim M should have his mass-produced (plastic molded by Jerry Feather?). I'd buy one in a second. Roger - you need to stock these!

John, after having made mine, albeit different from Jim's and others; the varfiances I would think are in width and front to back. There is enough "wiggle room" in how the parts slide under the rain seals and such I would think there are some reasonably simple solutions to this
Need to find someone local who can do a one day turnaround on powder coating, i.e. drop off on Wednesday or Thursday and pick up the next day.. Anyoone around Arliington/Mansfield or Irving have suggesitons?

Really? I can imagine 5-speed vs auto being an issue (although auto should still fit 5-speeds), but 87-95 ought to be one-size-fits-all. I thought there was the same fan shroud, same radiator over those years. The channel piece on the front of the radiator would be elminated by Jim's piece. Darn. It's a super nice piece.

The GTS's, all 928 (IIRC) Roger boxes have the oil cooler in front of the radiator at the top, the early S4, 5 speeds do not, the early cars (pre 87) have a different AC condensor, then you throw in the all aluminum radiators and the various coolant return outlets and you have multiple versions. To many for a small production run. BUT, I'll show mine to Jerry Feather at OCIC. If he's interested and after the wheel well liners are done, I'll ship him mine to make duplicates. Jerry has enough 928's to see the variations; maybe he can come up with a version to fit all or at least most models.

Jim M: OK. I was thinking just do a stock 87-95 with enough lip to cover the oil cooler, like you have. Yes, it would hang over with some 5-speeds, but I can't see that being a problem if the lip is sturdy. For non-stock radiators, the owners could change the overflow fitting or make a small mod, but I think most would fit OK.
True, I hate to distract Jerry from his wheel well liner project. God knows we need that much more than this, but based on his latest posts, he needs a break from that, and I'm sure he could knock this out in no-time. Well, almost. Anyway, nice work. I wish I had fiberglass fab skills like that.

I'd buy one like Jim M's. I've seen it in person and it looks "factory".

I wouldn't mind one of those for my auto.
