Fellow 928 owners and aficionados:
Here are the "Top 10 Reasons to Go to Hell, MI" next weekend, August 4th.
10. Cars! Lots of cool Cars! We often have other makes show up. We've had MGs, Bugeye Sprites, 944s, 911s, Old Buicks, and others.
9. Food, Fun, and Family - Yep... I'm bringing my kids and wife (if she's in town). Everyone has a good time!
8. Jet skis, tubing, pontoon boat, fishing, and other water fun! The kids and adults never have a shortage of things to do.
7. Get your broken 928 running again! We have a lot of really knowledgeable people in our group. We can help you get you car back on the road!
6. Tech sessions! Last year we disassembled a blown 928 motor. Loads of fun! I think this year we might be stripping a car. It's a great way to get your hands dirty and learn something new.
5. Ask questions. We all have silly questions we might be afraid to ask. This is the best group to ask 928-related questions. We can help you with just about anything.
4. PRIZES! We have great vendors and we usually have door prizes to give out. But you have to be there to win!
3. Camping. Many people pitch a tent or grab a spot in Mark's cottage. I plan on camping outside with the kids this year. Should be a hoot!
2. Shark Water! Paul B. from Jake's for Steaks has made this annual concoction to the delight of many. YUM!
1. Friends! See old friends, make new friends. This group is all about the people. Come out and join us. I GUARANTEE you will have fun or you can have your money back!
See you Saturday, August 4th in Hell, Michigan.
The event location is 4339 Patterson Lake Rd, Pinckney, MI
If you're coming, bring something to pass as a dish or a snack. Some drinks might also be a good plan.

Edit, I found the little bastard. I sure hope I can get this fixed in time.
It's the breather tube that comes off the base passenger side of the filler neck.
-----------
It looks like something down under the pipe organ is spritzing oil up on to my nice new hood pad.
Probably a cracked breather tube, I replaced one a few months ago when I was fixing my TPS harness. It was brittle as hell.
So either I find the culprit and fast or I won't be going to Hell.
There is oil in my valley as well. So im sure my filler neck is leaking as well.
Looks to me like a top end refresh is my best coarse of action here, it's way to dirty in there to even try and source the leak when there are probably multiple sources.
Fudge!

Just got back from Wisconsin (stayed with Big Dave). Tried to talk him into coming next weekend, but he has a driveline rattle that needs to be diagnosed.
Millikin's open house is the first Saturday of every month, so that works, but I have never been there in the summer. I would suspect many of the runners will be gone, but the classics in the corners should still be there.
One week to go. Looks like mid 80's in Hell this week. See everyone Friday night or Saturday.

Here is this year's t-shirt design! It's a Weissach edition!
Yeah... sorry. My diet along with my brew partner having a baby put a kink in our brew schedule. Sorry - no home brew from me. Will probably bring a mini-keg of Oberon or similar.

Roger is sending a rush package to me for Monday. I'm going to get her fixed, looking forward to the trip.

In what seems to be a typical fashion, I too am down to wire with repairs in order to make it on another road trip. i have an in-tank strainer, fuel pump and filter arriving tomorrow. I know what I'm doing this weekend. If all goes well. I'll see you in hell!

Hey fella's if anybody has a center cap with painted or un painted crest for sale or a set for sale pm me. I will be at the event next week and could grab them there. I was pulling into my driveway and heard one fall off when I turned. So I may be able to find it (hopefully) during the week.

Just got off the phone with them. There is another group scheduled to see it on Saturday afternoon (she said mid-day). They are going to see if we can piggy-back along with them. It all depends on how big the other group is.
The location is only about 30-40 minutes away from Hell, and might serve as out mid-day drive.
Any idea how many people would want to go? Or maybe I should ask if you DON'T want to go?
