Sharks In Hell - August 4, 2012
 

Sorry for the late post, a little behind this year ...

The Michigan crew is getting together to host our 7th Annual Sharks In Hell event Aug 3-5th.

The event is held at my cottage in Hell (4339 Patterson Lake Road, Pinckney Mi 48139).

As in the past, this is a family event. Please feel free to bring your spouse and kids. There is swimming, tubing, a paddle boat, kayaking, fishing, etc. We will also have a bonfire on Friday and Saturday nights (if the drought ends, and I can get a burn permit).

THIS IS A FREE EVENT! - We just ask that you bring a dish to pass or some drinks to share.

Food/Drinks:
BYOB, or other party mixes.
If you can swing a dish to pass great, if not give us a hand to cook/clean up.

Agenda so far:

Friday (evening) Aug 3rd – Out of town arrivals, dinner and loud music at the “Dam Site Inn”, downtown Hell, bonfire after.

Saturday (Event Day) Aug 4th– Cars, friendly owners, BBQ, Drive Route, Tech Session, Water Sports (Swimming, Tubing, and Kayaking) and a bonfire in the evening.

Sunday (am) Aug 5th – Hangovers, clean up, farewells to guests

Accommodations at the Cottage in Hell:

Floor space and plenty of tent camping near the fire pit when the cottage is full.

Me and Karla will be comming this year. This will be our first trip to Hell. I will bring some goodies from the Niagara Wine Region. Is it possible to book into a Double bunk for us(She will not tent it, even with me).

The butcher here has probably the best sausages in the world(butchers family is Polish/Italian), but I dont think I can bring meat ovger the boarder, I'll look into it.

Just spoke w/ Mark today, Kristine and I are bringing our tent and will be camping out this year ;)
Hopefully both of the sharks will be on the road by then too. Looking forward to seeing you all in Hell :)

Calling dibs on the living room floor. Pretty sure kids will be along this year and will let them grab the couches or a tent.

Beds at the "Cottage in Hell" are filling up fast. Only two remain open. Send me a pm if you would like one.

You can as long as its sealed and has the appropriate stamps. Local butcher meat wont get through, that's if you declare it. I flown in and out of the states with many meats, mainly bacon and hams.

I'll be there.

Hi Everyone. I'm a prospective 928 S4/GT owner in SE MI. I'm currently on the hunt for a good clean 87-91 5-speed car. Does anyone who's attending have a manual trans that would be willing to allow a test drive? I've been looking for a while, but have not found any manual cars for sale locally. I've driven a couple autos and loved the handling and the rest of the car, but I'd really like to have the opportunity to drive a manual 928 before I make the commitment to travel to buy one.

Also, anyone have a line on any cars for sale? The pickings are pretty slim on here, Craigs List, Autotrader & ebay.

Going to spring it on the wife tonight, wish me luck. :) it may be a hard sell as that's along weekend up here.
