Scott,
Ditto on the battery ground. The strap sits at an almost 90 degree angle on the battery side. MY 1983 looked great with no corrosion.......until it was removed and I found that the copper strands had been broken at the coupler attaching it to battery. When I straightened out the bend I only had about 20% of the wires unbroken. I replaced the strap in five minutes and was good to go.

Hope you got back on the road. Let us know what it was when you find out.

Spoke with Scott around 9:30 this morning. Car started right up. He had a couple more starts and stops in town but I never heard of any trouble. Hopefully he will let us know he made it home safely.

Default Back!

I did make it back with no issues. I got back to late to poke around but for now it seems like a single occurrence but I've got to figure out what happened.

Ill start with the straps and electrical test to see if anything turns up.

Thanks for everyone jumping in so fast and to Brian for being ready to jump in and help. I hope I never have to repay the favor but if ever needed would glad to do so.
