So that will make 5 928's at the event. You guys will have a great time. If you can make it for the Sunday night "Thunder Road Tour" you'll be able to see the track at low speed in an instructors truck. Huge eye opening experience at slow speed to make day one a little more relaxed.

Mike I put you and Gary together in a garage spot with me down a few lanes from you guys. We are there for each other and if you are in need of help, we can get it, I have a few friends coming..... 165 people are signed up as of now........

See you gus soon and we'll have to get a beer together at the Seneca Lodge, great history in that place from the old F1 days to NASCAR stuff today......

WOW - several 928's at the Glen again. I think it was 2001 that we had thirteen 928's at the Glen for one DE event. Picture was posted in PCA magazine "Panorama".

Looking forward to meeting the new attendees and having a great time there. I agree with Curt's suggestion regarding the Seneca Lodge (I'm staying there). May be a bit noisy and not the best place to chat and get acquainted.

IF others are up to it, I'll suggest we all gather at the restaurant named Montage at the Glen Motor Inn on Monday evening. It is about 3 miles north of the Glen on the west side of the lake. Great view overlooking the lake, it is the place the F1 guys stayed back in the late '70's. I'll never forget the one morning I drove by there in about 1977 and there were at least 15 Ferrari Daytona's lined up along the parking area!! The motel is VERY weak, but the restaurant has good Italian food, operated by the same owners for several decades. LOTS of racing pictures there. Let's talk about it on Monday

Also, if anyone is interested, the International Motor Racing Research Center and small museum is located about 5 blocks from the center of the town. Also - walk the town sidewalks and see all the plaques for the top NASCAR and F1 drivers. For any family members that might be along, the Glen canyon is a great hike and quite scenic. There is an attractive small waterfall at Montour Falls - just a few miles south. It is just a "neat place" as far as I'm concerned!!

Mike - look forward to sharing a garage space with you. I have a small trailer I bring with a jack and some tools - just in case. Anyone with a bit of a problem, I also have some spare brake pads, belts, hoses, etc.

Cheers,

Gary---

One last comment - everyone be sure you have flushed/changed your brake fluid within the past month or so. OLD brake fluid can ruin a run on the track pretty quickly!!!

Gary, VERY COOL!

Ignore the question I asked in the PM, I didn't read this thread before responding, obviously you ARE going.

I'll bring my OB liftbars and jackstands, but if you have jack I'll leave mine home to save some space.

Brake fluid was job one on my list and I did it on 9/15. I still have a torn CV boot to deal with this weekend, a helmet to track down, some tires to have mounted, and a few other odds and ends, but I think I finally have my act together enough to get my car on the track.

I can't wait...

If we can, maybe we can run around the orignal track through town. I know the route well, we can two up per car then have dinner. I actually have a video of some '70's F1 stuff and that shows I believe Brian Redman and Jacky Icxx in the pool at the Glen Motor inn overlooking the lake. Colors are just starting to change up here so pictures will be awesome.

Also, for any last minute stuff a few good shops in town that can deliever parts overnight to the track and there is a Super Wal-Mart at the South end of the lake.

Curt, where's the best palce to get fuel? I'll be up Sunday afternoon.

Renting a house on the southeast side of Seneca Lake (you can see the lake from the house). Assuming it has a grill, I'm happy to host a shark cookout of some kind.

There are a few places in town Valero/Sunoco. Cookout would work also. We'll talk at the event.

It's and HD Go Pro mounted to the windshield.

Thanks Tim. Just picked up a GoPro Hero2, and I'm going to add an external mic to cut down the wind noise.

For those with smartphones, check out the Trackmaster app.

One last (well maybe) for you who have never visited "the Glen" in spring or fall. The temperature can and on more than one occasion has been 30 or more degrees cooler at the top of the hill in the garage than it was the morning I left southeast PA!! I suggest bringing warm clothes. Check Niagara's regulations regarding long sleeve shirts for driving. Many Regions require them (usually not a problem in October, but can be d*** hot in late May through the end of August!).

See ya' there.

Sweet video! Looking forward to making some like that myself! Where was the mic mounted? Or was it the camera's internal mic?

Go Pro internal mike with the open back cover on it. I mounted it on the splitter for a different perspective.
