Default Adhesive Remover

I have been using Jasco Adhesive Remove now for years. it works where all other fails and if used carefully can even preserve the paint.

It now appears the EPA has put a ban on the sale of the product. Jasco no longer supplies the product to stores. I have checked all ACE stores and on line.

Does anyone know of an alternative product that is effective. I have tried a couple but they fail miserably.

Bestine is an adhesive remove that we use at work often to remove double sided tape residue. Works well but can't vouch for it not damaging a painted surface. Its available at your local hardware store.

When I want to remove adhesive and preserve the paint I use Prepall (sp) which is a light solvent available at your automotive paint store. I use it especially to remove contact cement from all kinds of stuff including leather and vinyl.

When I don't want to preserve the paint I just use my disc sander or some stripper.

I've heard of PBblaster used for the hood mat glue removal. How about the citrus solvents? Goo gone or lighter fluid?

Won't the hood pad blow right off with a pressure washer? my electric one is awesome for this kind of stuff. The gas ones are too strong.

This the best stuff I have ever used. Works great for removing white masking tape that has been left out in the weather for too long.

Whenever you find a product that you really like you should buy a lifetime supply, because they are going to stop making it.
