Default The ultimate barn find! Long lost '87 S4 auto! Rare!

When approaching the beast, we stepped lightly around the '07 Vette that was blocking our path. You see, when the owner had had his fun with the '87 S4 he was less than impressed with the trade-in figure from the sharks at the chevy dealer. So 5 years ago he decided to "show them" and hang on to his own shark and watch his investment appreciate.

Our own self-appointed/named "Shop Puppy" says "Check out the luscious rear of this fine machine. Don't forget that this model year and this model year ONLY features the folding wing!"

A rear 3/4 shot capturing the brilliance of German design:

Properly stored and waiting for a re-awakening:

European ride height! Actual Seattle foliage!

At first glance, perhaps a bit unkempt. Just a little tidying up to do before the next show/display meet:

But really... just restore the driver's seat to it's proper position and all is well

Barely 140,000 well-cared for miles on the clock. A true "low-miles" collector machine:

Some sort of hi-tek Finblovian protective coating was applied before this Porsche went to sleep:

Shop Puppy contemplates the $$$ profit potential after a full factory resto. Meanwhile, white vette to her left awaits his turn in the hibernation chamber:

Rodent damage in vehicles undergoing long term storage can be problematic. Not with Mr. Boots around! Note very clean orange portion of air filter. (edit: 1st person to paypal me $1,000 gets exclusive rights to this picture for their avatar)

Shop Puppy says, "Thanks for the coffee, but alas we threw our $1.50 change back from a 5ver into the tip jar. Now we can't bring this one home "

Even under all that crud and mold you can see the facto-drip paint job. What a sad way to care for a car.

No big deal. 140K miles. The car has served its purpose and is used up. Cast it aside and get another. Happens all the time.

Nice find and good luck bringing it back. There will be no end to replacing deteriorated parts.

Chia-928. I think that would actually be classified as a "Green House Find". Nice hood.

I am sure he put Sta-Bil in it. Fire her up.

I totally agree.

I never criticize a person's acquisition. Only the way people elect to store such a masterpiece.

Depending on the price....(better be free)...could be a decent project for someone willing to add some elbow grease.... Spend a day on it...and there would be instant equity....

LOL @ "shop puppy"... looks like Chrisnee gets around... you should set her loose here on rennlist... I'm sure hilarity will ensue..

Default Don't be too quick to judge

JMO... but I would bet it would clean up fairly well. It all depends on why it was parked in the first place. engine, trans, what gave out???

Remember the GTS I bought out of South Dakota??? Here is what the inside looks like now with a little lovin
