1907 US 86.5's.

440 were 5-speeds.

181 5-speed, no rubstrips.

3 5-speed, no rubstrip, no sunroof.

2 5-speed, no rubstrip, no sunroof, LSD

No idea what color they are/were.

'78 MY is much closer to 100% sunroofless than 50%. It was very rare or maybe didn't even exist in early '78 MY cars. 02/77 dated 1st printing of parts cataloque doesn't have any sunroof related parts listed at all though it mentions M650 in option list.

Sunroofless, manual, lsd, sports seats...

Sorry about the bragging, but I couldn't be happier with mine: -)

This pretty much confirms my suspicions that if I sold my '86 I'll likely never find another.

It's got no sunroof, no rub strips and it's a 5-speed. Thanks Rob!

Uber-rare find for the U.S. production set. Awesome!

I guess a car fax would be the best way to determine if they are still on the road and where they were last registered....

These are some really interesting statistics for someone that likes the sunroofless variety 928 like me - THANKS, Rob!

Hi Jon,
I think yours is pretty rare especially with the color you have.

I like my sunroof. I have fairly dark tint on the windows and with an all black interior the car can feel very closed in. I love to open the sunroof and it makes the car feel that much roomier. i am really amazed at how little wind noise there is with the roof open on the highway. i can appreciate the extra headroom argument, but I wouldn't part with my sunroof.
