Default Better bra these days?

The bra I got with my S4 sucks bigtime, I tried it once and never again. It just lays on top of everything and flaps in the breeze. I still have little marks on my clearcoat from that episode.

I noticed today that the bra for sale at 928 International appears, from the photo, to be quite different. It looks like it is a two-piece, with a separate hood cover portion, which would allow the hood to open, and would also serve to lock the thing down like my old 944 bra was, under the hood.

Can anybody confirm that the newer bra from 928 International is a good product?

I got a 968 Colgan bra from Pelican last year and the fit and qaulity was impressive. I would think the 928 version would be very good as well. I think buying some clear bra vinyl material is a good idea too. You can get quite a bit of clear bra material for $30 bucks and then just use it where the bra might damage the paint. Like the fasterner clips around the fenders.

I've got one of the 2-piece bras, and it stays put. It also came with covers for the mirrors. It protected the paint on my 87, and I'll use it on my 89 too. It's never left any marks on the paint either.

I would do the clear film, moisture and the bra don't mix, and I don't care for the look too 70's.

Yes they do... got one on my 86.5 and looks VERY 70's / 80's... which I'm good with since its a 70s / 80's car and it goes with my black satin Porsche jacket... also from the 80's

In the past, I only used the bra for long road trips, taking it off after a fairly short amount of time. I wouldn't leave it on. But I think the look is pretty good for that application, it's like "all dressed up and ready to rumble." The clear film detracts too much from the appearance of the nose, in my opinion. I see these perfect new 911s around that come with the factory film, but up close it's like "dude, you've got saran wrap on your car." There is this unsightly line all the way across.

I agree with your comments on the clear bra... even uglier than some of the strap on bras. BUT if it keeps the bugs & stones from wrecking a beautiful paint job... well, sometimes ya just gotta bite the bullet and do whats best for your baby

I'm trying to decide on this as well, my local shop has the 3m clear bra for 50% off and I have an appointment on Wednesday. But I don't like the look either and may just get a regular bra for road trips. ??????

I got my bra from 928 International. Two piece (hood is one piece and fenders the other). Great for road trips to keep the small rocks from leaving their marks. Yes, the is a model for the 928S - with the front spoiler.
The film looks good when new but after some time (plus wax, road grime), not my favorite. I am not sure how it would look on the tricky front end of the old style (per '87) and would love to see a picture.

I can happily recommend the 3M clear stick on 'bra'.

In Australia we have a company called ozicozi stoneguard. http://www.ozicozi.com.au/surfacetech/ at a regular distance from the car, it's difficult to see. Up close you have to look hard to see the 'edge'. This company is doing loads of Astons, Ferraris and Audis.

I have no association with this company.

Just got XPEL film put on mine. From what I was able to find, there are no pre-made kits for a 928 so you will have to have a custom installation. The good part of a custom install is that you will get less visible edges. The bad part: a b it more expensive. Got the nose and hood completely covered so there are no lines to see. Only did the fender up to the wheelwheel so there is a line but you can barely, and I mean barely, see it. Much different than the Autobahnd or 3M that I had installed on my other cars 5 years ago.

Got it applied at Unique Car Care. Rick posts on Rennlist so you car do a search for more detail.
