Default BIG THANKS to Sean Ratt, James Morrison and Mark Robinson!

BIG THANKS to Sean Ratt, James Morrison and Mark Robinson!

Drove to Austin to meet the wife who had left the day before to see our son for a few days... 928 running perfect until... stop and go on I-35 elevated in Austin, less than 5 miles from restaraunt we are meeting at. Let foot off cluth and oopps... pedal stays on floor! Call Sean, quick diagnose is the rubber hose which connects from the slave to the hard line to the master cylinder split.

Sit there a few minutes and lo and behold out of the blue a tow truck shows up! Look to the right and there is a Firestone store! Gets the 928 there within minutes of them closing.

Sean suggests I call James, next thing you know a couple hours or so later Mark calls, just happens to have ONE 928 Int'l hose in stock and is only a few minutes from the Firestone! He drops it off on Sunday, pick up 928 yesterday and all is goo!

What AN AWESOME COMMUNITY! THANKS A MILLION TO ALL OF YOU!

This is why everyone should join the 928 Owners Club and be a part of the 928 Roadside Assistance program!!!

This is not the first time I have saved someone out on the road and I am sure it won't be the last! My car (without me driving) got saved in AZ several months ago! Thanks to Rich Andrade and friends!

AFAIK the 928 Owners Club (www.928oc.org) is the only club that has anything like this! Though the Triumph club should have this BIG TIME! LOL! I used to own a Triumph and I guess they didn't need it as every owner of a Triumph can pretty much rebuild it on the side of the road out of necessity! LOL!

My pleasure to help out! Mark R is a great source of parts and info and since he is an avowed 5spd man I knew he was the person to call in town! Actually, he might be the ONLY 928 5spd owner in Austin! Oh wait, Jim Stadter has a 5spd S4...they are the only 2 I know of!

I actually LOVE Clovis, NM and would LOVE to live there! Well Santa Fe would be a little better perhaps because it is actually a small city, but North Central NM would be a place I would not mind living AT ALL!

Clovis? CLOVIS? C L O V I S ? ?

BLECH! Nothing to do there unless:

> you are (un)lucky enough to been there so long as to know everyone and sit around and gossip about them

> go to dive bars to drink

> Like the smell wafting off the feed yards

and

Enjoy living somewhere so flat, that if you look straight ahead on a clear day with no buildings or other obstructions in front of you, that you can see your own butt...

That is all..

I'm pretty sure there are several other 5spds, both mine and my dads are 5spd.
P.S. I'd still love to check out those guitars of yours, I have a few new ones I should show you as well!
